MAKO Marine Africa has been based in Cape Town, South Africa since 1991. The owner, Mark Louw, started racing inflatable boats at a young age and became South African Champion (1991 & 1992), and The Trans Agulhas (“Toughest boat race in the world”) Champion (1991 & 1992).
The success of the MAKO boat designs developed out of this experience which demanded innovation, product quality and performance.
MAKO now specializes in the supply of bespoke Commercial, Naval, and security patrol vessels into Africa.
