Mako Marine Africa
Mako Africa has been based in Cape Town, South Africa since 1991. The owner, Mark Louw, started racing inflatable boats at a young age and became South African Champion (1991 & 1992) and The Trans Agulhas (“Toughest boat race in the world”) Champion (1991 & 1992).
The very successful Mako boat designs have evolved out of the design and manufacture of inflatable racing boats, a field where it collected many highly acclaimed awards, both on and off the water. The company has grown consistently over this period and has enjoyed an ongoing and enviable reputation for design, innovation, product quality and performance.
